The founding members of PIL were Caltex, Mobil, Total, Petroda and Oilcom. The current shareholders of PIL are TotalEnergies Malawi Limited, Petroda Malawi Limited, Vivo Energy Malawi Limited and Puma Energy Malawi Limited. PIL remains keen to admit new shareholders to the consortium, provided that the prospective members meet the required criteria.
