Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) would like to disassociate itself from a letter purportedly written to MERA on the impending fuel scarcity in the country, dated 14 March 2025, that is circulating on social media.
It should be stated that PIL never authored any letter to MERA on this issue, and members of the public should treat this as fake news.
PIL has official communication platforms it uses to communicate with its stakeholders.
Meanwhile, we have reported the matter to the investigating authorities to bring the perpetrators to book.
